Wings
Of Prayer

by Terese Holloway

My grief's beyond healing, and my heart is found broken;
My eyes can't stop weeping, and words can't be spoken!
The sound of the silence, shatters my peace;
And the screams of my soul, seem to find no release!
Where are You, Lord, in the midst of this grief;
Can You feel what I feel ~ Do Your ears hear me weep?
Do the tears that flow down, and drop from my face;
Find a place in Your presence, covered by Grace?
Where is the kiss of the morning dew;
That bids me to "COME", and fall before You?
In that place that's reserved for Your children to be;
Where hope becomes LIFE, on the inside of me.
A refuge of safety, in that place where YOU dwell;
Where nothing else matters, but the TRUTH that prevails!
Call me to come, Lord, and I will be there;
I will soar like an eagle, on the wings of a prayer!
Inside YOUR presence, my this broken heart find;
Peace for the journey and strength of the climb!
