The Pearl
by Doug Foust
The pearl my Father made is light.
Hidden from the worldly eye.
Try to see this pearl so bright.
That never enough money can buy.
The pearl my Father made is wise.
Hidden from the noisy mind.
Try to find this pearl so large.
A jewelry box can’t hide.
The pearl my Father made is rich.
Hidden from all temporal things.
Try to share this pearl so great.
And the blessings that it brings.
The pearl my Father made is great.
Hidden from the thieves in the land.
Try to find this pearl so wise.
Within my Fathers hand.
The pearl my Father made is pure.
Hidden from the restless sea.
Try to find this priceless pearl.
Whose value is eternity.
