HIS PROMISE OF
THE SPRING
by Terese Holloway
Sometimes the ground seems rocky, hard, solid, cold and
bleak;
It's impossible to fathom that life could live 'neath' winters feet.
For our eyes see only death in the season of winters cold;
Seems life's been swallowed by the darkness and held captive by her hold.
ONCE lovely flower beds now gone ~ snows velvet blanket, covers ALL;
No bright colors splash the canvas on the landscapes dreary wall.
The trees are bear and lifeless, the ground is littered by past storms;
Only scars of winters pruning are left like tattered thorns.
But still the squirrels are busy and the birds continue with their song;
For they know that in 'due' season ~ the harsh winter will be gone.
For certain things are ABSOLUTE ~ Like how the seasons come and go;
Like the rising of the sun and the warmth within it's glow.
You see, God's timing may not match our own, yet its' STILL an absolute of
truth.
For He is constant in His care for us ~ His love continues to stand true.
So, even when we feel, the bite of winters bitter sting;
I pray that we'll continue on and STILL have a song to sing.
God will ALWAYS bring the harvest, He's never early nor is He late;
In due season we will surely reap if we will only stand and wait.
For God's principle of seed time and harvest can ONLY bring;
Precious fruit well worth the waiting and His Promise Of The Spring.
