Upon The
Ocean's Floor
I was swimming near the
edge, keeping one foot
on the shore;
When I heard my Father's
voice, call me to the
ocean's floor.
With His mighty hand
extended, He reached and
pulled me in;
I felt myself go under
and then He brought me
up again.
With the mighty breath
of Jesus, my lungs
filled up within;
He then took me to the
deep, and released me
there to swim.
It's a depth I dared not
dream of ~ a place I
never thought I'd be,
But it didn't seem to
matter, as long as He
was there with me.
You see, He's called me
far beyond, the
shoreline of my soul;
To swim in deep cool
waters, where, HE, is in
control.
So even, WHEN, it's
overwhelming, and I
wonder if I'll live;
I will trust in His
provision, as He teaches
me to swim.
Now, I no longer can be
happy, just staying near
the shore;
Since I've plunged into
the deep, and swam Upon
The Ocean's Floor.
