My God's
Still In Control by Terese Holloway
I refuse to walk in darkness ~ AWAY from truth and light;
No matter what the world brings, through it's arrogance and lies.
I will not be deceived, by those sent to lead astray;
For, God's anointing is upon me, to the lies that they portray.
My heart will never compromise, nor will I let the lies uproot ~
For the convictions deep within me are directed to seek truth
So, when anyone comes to me, proclaiming the gospel as it's not;
I'll stand my ground, unwavering ~ upon the Word Of God.
Yes, until the end, I'll stand, contending for the faith;
I will love what my God loves and I will hate what my God hates.
I will never choose the darkness and compromise my life
Instead, my passion will burn brightly for my love of Jesus Christ.
And then one day, the time will come ~ to stand before the Lord;
And I will know I've done my best as a soldier in this war.
For God knows what I am made of and so I can't help but expose;
The spirit of deception and his plan as it unfolds.
You see, the light will always conquer what the darkness tries to hold
So, I will rest assured in knowing that My God's Still In Control.
