Perspectives 2007

Painted Crimson
In The Snow
by Terese Holloway

The air was still, the breeze was crisp
On that chilly winter morn;
My heart had just been pierced
By a hurtful prickly thorn.
I stood before the window pane
Seeking solace in the peace;
When I spied a gorgeous Cardinal
Nestled safely in a tree.
His little tiny figure
Was like crimson in the snow;
God had sent a gift from heaven
Touched my heart and gave me HOPE!
You see, ONLY God can understand
The daily  perils I go through;
He cares about each heartache
Every tattered place and bruise.
But in the midst of turmoil
I find Him faithful day to day;
To exhibit tiny miracles
That give me hope along life's way.
He shows Himself in little things ~
And allows me to behold;
The love He holds inside, for ME ~
